The Role
We’re hiring a data scientist to own the models that keep Loko efficient — from delivery ETAs to dispatch decisions to personalised discovery. You’ll pair with engineers to ship models into production, not just notebooks, and you’ll measure success in marketplace outcomes, not leaderboard scores.
What You'll Work On
- ETA & prep-time models: getting delivery estimates right across restaurants and cities
- Dispatch: ranking rider–order assignments under real-world constraints
- Discovery & ranking: helping customers find food they’ll love
- Experimentation: A/B frameworks, causal analysis, and decision-grade dashboards
You Might Be a Fit If You
- Have 3+ years of applied ML experience with models in production
- Are comfortable in Python with SQL, plus one of PyTorch / XGBoost / scikit-learn
- Can reason about marketplaces, two-sided metrics, and experiment design
- Communicate clearly with product, engineering, and operations
- Want your models to move real-world metrics, not just eval curves
