The Role
We’re looking for a frontend engineer to help shape the experience customers, merchants, and internal operators have with Loko every day. You’ll work across our Next.js web app and merchant dashboards, turning complex logistics into interfaces that feel simple.
You’ll collaborate closely with design, product, and backend engineers, and you’ll have meaningful influence over how our frontend codebase evolves.
What You'll Work On
Examples of what you might ship:
- Customer ordering flow: search, cart, checkout, and order tracking — optimised for weak connections
- Merchant dashboard: live orders, menus, prep-time controls, and analytics
- Internal admin tooling: fast, keyboard-friendly interfaces for our ops team
- Design-system work: shared components, accessibility, performance budgets
You Might Be a Fit If You
- Have 3+ years of experience building production React/TypeScript applications
- Care about performance, accessibility, and how interfaces feel on real devices and networks
- Can translate rough designs into polished, production-quality UI
- Have strong product instincts and enjoy collaborating with design
- Are comfortable working async with a mostly-Africa-based team
